Cafe Mambo, San Antonio, Ibiza

Cafe Mambo is located on the sunset strip San Antonio Ibiza. It was once overshadowed by its rival Cafe Del Mar but is now much more in the running for one of the best and more recognised bars in the island of Ibiza.

I called in here on a few occasions on my trip in Ibiza, it’s famous for great DJ's performing, ice cold drinks and not to forget the most important of them all the spectacular view of the Ibiza sunset.

This place serves some great drinks, from icy cold beers to some great looking cocktails.

One day we called here about 2pm one afternoon in search of a nice cold drink to take the edge off our hangovers! It was a fine hot summers day so I opted for a bottle of Heineken, which came at about one degree below freezing which was great as the temperature was well into the thirties. My friend opted for on mojito cocktail, when it arrived it looked equally as refreshing with its fresh lime and mint filled with ice and helpful filling of rum, just the way we like it

Night time this place comes alive, totally the opposite of its relaxed chilled out day time vibe. This place is renowned for its superstar a listed DJs and we weren't to be disappointed. They have a small window and inside the DJs mix their tunes. You can either go inside and watch them perform, which is limited for space as it’s only small, or you can do what we did and grab a seat outside and watch the show from there. Some nights in the height of the summer months you cannot even do this, the closest you can get is a place on the adjourning beach front!

After the day experience we decided to pay a visit on the night and we were not disappointed! An awesome DJ playing you typical Ibiza dance tunes that make this island famous for. The staff were friendly and were helpful when choosing our drinks, you will wait a while to be served in the busy periods but this is expected. We stayed there for an hour or two then moved on to our next destination.

Altogether this place is magical, famous and a great place to visit. So the next time you in Ibiza then cafe mambo is well worth a visit.
